
In partnership with the Harvard Debate Council, we deliver a world-class debate program for students in grades 3–12. Our mission is simple: help students find their voice, build confidence, and develop the critical thinking and leadership skills they’ll use for a lifetime.

Awards & Recognition
NAVI students participate in competitions during the year and join our summer camp to strengthen their skills and prepare for the season.

National & Regional Debate Tournaments
Students can join up to 9 national, 8 regional, and multiple virtual & in-person tournaments. Including Harvard, Georgetown, Stanford, TOC, Lakeland Tournaments.

NAVI Leadership & Volunteer/Community Service
Students participating in active NAVI leadership (President, VP, Captain, Treasurer, Secretary).
We offer several volunteer and community services through the NAVI partnership.

Founder of DebateUS and former Debate Coach for the Harvard Debate Council (2004-2015), Stefan was instrumental in the development of Public Forum debate in China and has supported programs in the Dominican Republic, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.

Johnny Thompson is a second-year Harvard Law student and a graduate of Yale University. Actively coaching international written debate competitions. He has been coaching with our program for 3 years.

Jazmine Pickens is the Assistant Director of the Harvard Debate Council. She has been a coach at the HDC since 2019 after graduating from the University of Oklahoma and became the Assistant Director in January 2023.
